About Lotto
Louisiana Lotto: How to Play
Lotto is a draw game where six numbers are selected from a field of 1 through 42. Players can either select their own numbers or choose the Quick Pick option to have the lottery terminal randomly generate their numbers.
How to Buy a Ticket
Tickets cost $1 per play. You can purchase tickets at any authorized Louisiana Lottery retailer.
Drawings
Lotto drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night.
How to Win
To win the jackpot, you must match all six numbers drawn. There are also prizes for matching five, four, or three numbers. If no one matches all six numbers, the jackpot rolls over to the next drawing.
Prizes
The prize amounts for matching fewer than six numbers are fixed. Prize amounts are published in the official rules which can be found on the lottery website.
Claiming Prizes
Prizes up to $600 can be claimed at any Louisiana Lottery retailer. Prizes over $600 must be claimed at a Louisiana Lottery office.

The overall odds of winning a prize in Lotto are approximately 1 in 8.
