About Pick 4

Pick 4 is a numbers game where you select four numbers from 0 to 9. You can choose the same number multiple times. There are several ways to play:

  • Straight: Match all four numbers in the exact order. This has the highest payout.
  • Box: Match all four numbers in any order. The payout depends on how many unique numbers are chosen.
  • Straight/Box: This is a combination of the straight and box plays. If your numbers match in the exact order, you win both the straight and box prizes.
  • Front Pair: Match the first two numbers in the exact order.
  • Back Pair: Match the last two numbers in the exact order.
  • Combo: Play all possible straight combinations of your numbers. The cost is higher, but you have more chances to win.

Drawings are held daily, twice a day. The Midday drawing occurs at 1:59 p.m. ET and the Evening drawing at 11:00 p.m. ET. To play, fill out a playslip and choose your numbers, play type, and wager amount. You can also choose Easy Pick to have the terminal randomly select your numbers.

Prizes vary depending on the play type and wager amount. Check the official Virginia Lottery website for the complete prize structure and official rules.

You must be 18 years or older to play. Please play responsibly.
