How It Works

Play4 is a daily lottery game offered by the Connecticut Lottery, featuring two drawings each day—one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Players select a four-digit number, with each digit ranging from 0 to 9, and choose from various wager types, including Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Pairs, and Combo.​

The Straight wager requires matching the drawn numbers in exact order, offering the highest prize of $25,000 for a $1 bet. Box wagers allow players to win by matching the numbers in any order, with prizes varying based on the number of possible combinations. The Straight/Box option combines both wager types, providing opportunities to win on both. Pair wagers focus on matching two specific digits, while Combo wagers cover all possible Straight combinations of the selected numbers.​

Adding the Wild Ball feature increases the chances of winning by allowing the substitution of one of the drawn numbers with the Wild Ball number. This feature doubles the cost of the wager but enhances the potential for creating winning combinations.​

Players can purchase tickets in $0.50 increments, starting at $0.50 up to $5.00 per wager. The game offers flexibility and multiple ways to win, catering to a wide range of lottery enthusiasts.​
