About Pick 4

Pick 4 is a daily draw game offered by the Idaho Lottery. Players select four numbers, each ranging from 0 to 9. Numbers can be repeated. There are multiple ways to play, each with different odds and prize amounts. Draws are held twice daily, allowing for both Midday and Evening play.

How to Play:

  1. Choose four numbers, each from 0 to 9. You can pick your own or use Quick Pick.
  2. Select your play type: Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front Pair, or Back Pair. The Straight play requires matching all four numbers in exact order to win the top prize. Box plays allow you to win if your numbers match the winning numbers in any order. Straight/Box allows you to split your wager between a Straight and Box play. Front Pair requires matching the first two numbers in exact order. Back Pair requires matching the last two numbers in exact order.
  3. Select the amount you want to wager ($0.50 or $1.00 for straight or box. Other play types have different minimum/maximum wagers).
  4. Choose Midday, Evening, or Both for the drawing you want to play.

Winning:

Prizes vary depending on the play type and wager amount. The top prize for a $1 Straight play is $5,000. Box play prizes vary based on the combination of digits selected (4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way, or 24-Way).

Odds:

The odds of winning vary based on play type. The odds of winning the Straight prize are 1 in 10,000. The odds of winning a box prize depends on the unique number combinations.
