About Cash 3 Evening

Cash 3 Evening is a daily numbers game offered by the Mississippi Lottery. Players select three numbers, each between 0 and 9 (inclusive). Numbers can be repeated. There are several play types that affect the prize and the odds of winning:

  • Straight: Match all three numbers in the exact order they are drawn.
  • Box: Match all three numbers in any order. The payout varies based on whether the numbers are all different or if two numbers are the same. A 3-way box consists of a number with 2 digits that are the same (112), a 6-way box consists of 3 unique numbers (123)
  • Straight/Box: Combines a Straight and Box bet. If you match in the exact order, you win both the Straight and the Box prize. If you match in any other order, you win only the Box prize.
  • Combo: A combo bet automatically plays your numbers as both Straight and Box and pays out both.

Drawings are held every evening. Players must purchase their tickets before the draw time. Winning numbers are available on the Mississippi Lottery website and at retailers. Claim prizes within 180 days of the drawing date.

Example: If the winning numbers are 1-2-3, a Straight bet on 1-2-3 wins the Straight prize. A Box bet on 1-2-3 would also win the Box prize. A Straight bet on 3-2-1 would not win. A Straight/Box bet on 1-2-3 would win if the numbers drawn are 1-2-3 (winning both prizes). If numbers drawn are 2-1-3, the Box prize is won and paid for the Straight/Box play.
