About Take 5
Take 5 is a daily numbers game draw held every evening at 11:21 PM EST/EDT. Players select five numbers from a field of 1 to 39. To win the jackpot, players must match all five numbers drawn. The jackpot is pari-mutuel, meaning the prize amount depends on ticket sales and the number of winners.
Drawings are held seven days a week, including Sundays.
The prizes for matching 4, 3, or 2 numbers are fixed amounts: $400, $20, and $3 respectively. The odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 8.78.
Tickets can be purchased at authorized New York Lottery retailers up until the draw time. Players can also purchase tickets in advance for multiple draws. Winning numbers are typically available shortly after the drawing on the New York Lottery website and at retailers.
